In-house Collateral

In-house Collateral

Overview

I am very proud of the volume and quality of design I produced in-house at the Department of Tourism. The projects in this section showcase the traditional deliverables I have created as well as opportunities I had to innovate on the agency's existing brand.

West Virginia Department of Torusim

  • Budget Booklet January 2026 – Each year, I developed this booklet to serve as a printed supplement to budget hearings that department leaders presented to the legislature. While keeping the same number of pages, I reimagined the booklet to represent additional agencies that had moved to the larger department for the 2026 edition.
  • Highway Map August 2025 – I designed the state’s official highway map that is distributed to visitors at travel plazas across the state as well as across the globe, via direct mailings. This dual purpose piece served as a detailed and accurate highway map and inspirational trip planner.
  • Travel South USA International Showcase Handouts November 2025 – Targeting travel trade buyers, I created handouts that strategically featured bookable experiences and lodging partners for groups and travel operators.

West Virginia State Parks

I had the opportunity to create a wide variety of materials and project identities for the WV State Parks system (WVSP), which is a sub-brand of West Virginia Tourism.

  • State Parks Fold Out Map June 2025 – Created as an informative guide for travelers as well as a tool to inspire additional park visitation, I designed a fold out pocket map for WVSP. It featured a helpful key for identifying park features and a bucket list of adventures that could only be found within the parks system.

  • West FURginia State Parks Ranger July 2025 – Building on the success of similar national programs focused on responsible pet stewardship, the department created an gamified initiative to promote pet-friendly parks in West Virginia. Leaning into the playful nature of this program, I designed a logo, promotional rack cards, a certificate and a dog tag given to pups who complete the challenge.

Ascend WV

The Ascend WV remote work program is a partner of the department; I designed executive reports and brand identity elements for this program.

  • Quarterly Report February 2026 – I created quarterly reports that were delivered to program leadership and beneficiaries, featuring charts, graphs, large form narratives while maintaining consistent branding.
  • Ascend Charleston Area Logo July 2025 – When the program expanded to my home city of Charleston I had the opportunity to design the location’s logo, which was a very exciting and meaningful moment in my career.
